13th Annual "They Are Worthy"
Benefit Softball Tournament,
Daly City, July 17 & 18, 2010

SWC's 13th annual "They are Worthy" Benefit Softball Tournament was held in Daly City on July 17 and 18 at Westlake Park. Approximately $2,300 was raised, and many donations of sports equipment were collected from participating players and teams, all for SWC programs.

A total of 8 men's teams and 6 coed teams participated in the weekend event. The men's teams were divided into a 4-team upper division and a 4-team lower division. The coed teams participated in a double elimination bracket. ALL teams in ALL divisions divisions were guaranteed 3 games.

Championship teams were awarded T-shirts and MVP prizes, and All Stars from each and every participating team were also awarded prizes ranging from gift certificates and gift cards, gift bags, and local attraction passes/tickets. In all, MORE THAN $1,300 worth of prizes were awarded to teams and players!

There was also a feature raffle with a prize list that included complimentary dinners, local attraction passes, an iPod Shuffle, a San Francisco Giants autographed baseball, a portable DVD player, SF Giants tickets, and other gift certificates and gift cards. The raffle allowed us to raise even more needed funds for our kids!

Congratulations to all champions, MVPs and All Stars, and thanks to ALL teams for your participation and support. All funds raised will go directly to providing deserving children with much needed sports equipment, skills training, and mentoring programs (see where we've worked here).
