Celebrating 10 Years

(DUE TO THE CONCERNS PRESENTED WITH THE GLOBAL COVID-19 PANDEMIC, OUR EQUIPMENT COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN ADVERSELY AFFECTED. MORE ABOUT OUR CURRENT CHALLENGES AND NEEDS HERE...)

(ONGOING!) Match Play pairs sports equipment donors directly with organizations/programs in need. Donors include community groups, individuals, organizations, and schools while the beneficiaries consist of clubs, programs, organizations, and/or schools from around the world that have submitted a formal Equipment Needs Application to SWC.

(Details about how an individual, group, school, or organization can participate, communicate with donors and beneficiaries, track progress, etc., coming soon!)

As we closed out 2017, the year in which we celebrated our 20th anniversary, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some our work, and share a glimpse of all that has inspired us and filled us with so much joy. This video is a tribute to many of the incredible volunteers that have worked and traveled with us over the years. We look forward to many more moments full of smiles and laughter to carry us through... and beyond.

(ONGOING!) Ready to be shipped in 2020!
Our storage facilities are currently housing packed boxes of equipment ready to be delivered and/or shipped out immediately to deserving children in need. Can you help? A $72 donation will provide complete basketball or soccer uniforms (including balls, excluding shoes) to an entire youth team in a community in need. Current outstanding requests from our Match Play Program come from Africa, North America, and Central America. A photo of the team in their uniforms will be personally mailed to you once the uniforms have been delivered. To donate, click here for our Support page.

(ONGOING!) Is your family, sports team (youth or adult), work group, or just a handful of friends in need of a vacation with a feel-good component? SWC can organize / provide personalized small group service projects / volunteer trips to the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. Travelers can participate in sports / meal / music programs for disadvantaged kids, nature (whales and whale sharks, sea turtles, horseback riding, etc.) awareness / conservation outings, world class big game fishing, eco tours (hikes, kayak), etc., depending on your preferences! To begin planning an unforgettable and inspirational trip with your group, or for more information, contact us!

(NEW!) We have updated our WISH LIST on our Support page! Can you help with some of our administrative / office / travel research needs? Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

The Sports for the World’s Children Foundation believes that all children need love, encouragement, and the opportunity to grow.

We also believe that they need to play... just play... and BE children.

Through the efforts of Sports for the World’s Children, children with limited resources are given the opportunity they deserve to play and learn and grow.

One of our storage units was broken into. Of the three units that we have at one facility, the baseball/softball was the one that was robbed. We lost bats and balls and mitts and catcher's gear. Thankfully, seemingly immediately, donors were there to answer the call and we are back to mostly full, working to secure the needed funding to get the equipment out to those in need! Here's how you can help...

(WE MOVED!) SWC has a new address...
Unfortunately our July, 2014, "They are Worthy" Benefit Softball Tournament had to be postponed because... WE MOVED!
Our new address is:
68-C Westlake Ave
Daly City CA 94014
It wasn't our choice to leave our home of over 17 years, and the timing made it too difficult for us to run the great tournament that you're used to, but we're happy to report that we have found new digs and are finally getting settled. We may consider having our tournament fundraiser later in the year (we need the funds!), but if not, we'll shoot for our usual month of July in 2015. In the meantime, if you are able to support us through a monetary donation, please click here.
