SWC's sports equipment and school supply collection drive is a year round event. We are currently collecting donations for the following sports equipment distribution collaborations/programs:

We need:
All types of uniforms (at least 5 alike), baseballs, baseball hats, bases, basketballs and basketball nets/rims, bats, batting gloves, batting tees, catchers' gear, cleats (nonmetal), Frisbees, jump ropes, mitts, playground/rubber balls, soccer balls, softballs, sports trading cards, volleyballs and volleyball nets, etc.

We also believe that they need to play . . . just play . . . and BE children.

THE SPORTS FOR THE WORLD’S CHILDREN FOUNDATION AND HORNBLOWER CRUISES TEAM UP TO
BENEFIT CHILDREN IN MEXICO
SAN FRANCISCO, November 10, 2007 Despite the oil the spill, there are some good things happening on San Francisco Bay. On Friday, November 16, the Sports for the World’s Children Foundation (SWC) and Hornblower Cruises will embark on a 6-day ocean journey on the M/V Freedom to deliver hundreds of pounds of donated sports equipment to children in need in Mexico. 10th Anniversary Celebration Event Honors Volunteers and Supporters Local radio station Alice Radio's morning DJ, "No Name," was the Master of Ceremonies at the early dinner event that celebrated 10 years of service, honored various organizational supporters and individual volunteers, and reunited volunteers from around the country. 10th Annual "They are Worthy" Benefit Softball Tournament Best Ever
SWC's 10th annual "They are Worthy" Benefit Softball Tournament, held in San Francisco on July 14 and 15, 2007, at Moscone Recreation Center, was a great success. Approximately $2,700 was raised and hundreds of pounds of sports equipment donations were collected from participating players and teams, all for for SWC programs. More Info & Results
Oct. 31 - Nov. 7, 2006 "Turning a Double Play" Volunteer Trip to Mexico
14 volunteers from four (4) states helped deliver more than 3,500 pounds of much needed sports equipment to over 2,800 deserving kids in 22 different leagues, schools, and sports clubs in Loreto, Ignacio Zaragoza, Puerto Adolfo Lopez Mateos, Ciudad Insurgentes, Ligui, Valle Santo Domingo, La Poza Grande, and Cuidad Constitucion, BCS, Mexico.
